Nasal Obstruction & Deviated Septum

  • Nasal Obstruction is a blockage in the nasal passages that makes it hard to breathe through your nose.

  • A Deviated Septum occurs when the thin wall (septum) between your nostrils is crooked or displaced, often causing nasal obstruction.

How does an ENT treat this?

  • Medications such as nasal steroid sprays or decongestants to reduce inflammation and swelling.

  • Allergy treatments if allergies contribute to the blockage.

  • Surgery (Septoplasty) to straighten the septum, improving airflow and relieving nasal obstruction.

  • Removal of nasal polyps or other causes of blockage if present.
